Summer concerts in Drøbak Chruch are arranged by Danuta Kozon in cooperation with Frogn Municipality

Danuta Kozon received diplomas in choir direction and piano performance from the Music Academy in Warsaw, and later received a diploma in church music from the Nowegian Conservatory of Music in Oslo.  Further studies included studies in vocal pedagogy at the Music Conservatory in Copenhagen.

In 1993 Danuta Kozon took a position as musical director in Drøbak Church, and shortly thereafter started the summer concert series known as Sommerkonsertene.

Since then she has founded another concert series which features young talent, also with Drøbak Church as its venue, and founded the Det Norske Guttekoret (The Norwegian Boys’ Choir), which has performed internationally and appeared on several television programmes.  The choir has recorded one CD, and will release its second CD later this year.

Danuta Kozon has been the recipient of several prizes, including Frogn Culture Council Honour Award for “Cultural Person of the Year”, and the Paul Harris Fellow Medal given by Rotary International to persons who advance “better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world”.
